So this is my work truck, about a month ago I was in heavy traffic and ran over a piece of tire tread, no where to go so I slowed down and I heard it hit as I went over. At the next stop I looked underneath and all appeared ok. I just recently had a lift installed at my house and had the truck up in the air and noticed a wire hanging down and two broken brackets, not sure what was there before. This is right behind the front bumper. I just crimped on some wire caps for now as the wires were just hanging around with nothing to do.

I'm not sure what it is. It is big and has a bar connected to its twin on the other side. Could be active air dams as suggested. 1029191639_HDR.jpg 1029191639a_HDR.jpg 1029191639b_HDR.jpg 1029191639c_HDR.jpg 1029191640_HDR.jpg

Thank you both, yes that must be what it was, looks like my amp power steps on my personal truck. Well that’s a bummer, I doubt that is a cheap fix. I appreciate the input as always.

What I would want to know is why the Active Air Dam is attached with Plastic instead of Metal???
Other than cost, weight savings and ease of manufacturing - I'd be at a loss. I would also think that a couple of pieces of metal bouncing around under the truck after impacting something on the road could cause a fair bit more damage than the plastic ones.
