So Rams have a wider track in front of the 1500s?

I did not realize until looking up the numbers that the 1500s have a wider track in the front by almost half an inch. Does anyone know why this is done? I was considering wheel spacers and now I’m wondering if I should get larger wheel spacers for the rear to make the match a bit better when widened but I don’t want to negatively impact components (more than it already does to put spacers on).
TIA

Fuel mileage and tracking on the roads. It's 1/4" per side. If you get wheel spacers and want to make it even front to rear, you need to order 1/4" widee spacers for the rear. I'm running 3/4" front and 1" rear wheel spacers to bring the sidewall of tires flush with edge of fender flares

I have aftermarket flares on mine that should come out same length as the factory ones on your BTS, and I’m wanting mine flush. I was going to run 1” all the way around but I will take your suggestion if you say it is flush with the flares! Has it impacted your handling at all? Any trimming on that 3/4” 😬 ?

Not issues with handling. I did have to trim the factory lugs on front with the 3/4" spacers. Many have said they didn't have to trim with 1" spacers, but on my BTS wheels, once fully torqued, there was just the slightest contact between wheel and studs, so I trimmed off just the unthreaded "nipple" from them. Your results may vary.

Can you post some pics with your spacers so I can see how the wheel sits flush with the fender?

Looks great! What size and width are your wheels and tires?
Factory 20x9 wheels. First pic is 275/65/20 Kenda Klever M/Ts. Other three pics are still factory 275/55/20 Fallen Wildpeaks

I am running 1.75 spacers in Front and 2" on the rear. This brings the tires out to look correct with the Pocket Fender Flares I installed.

Looks good. I always laught at the trucks I see driving down the road with the big pocket flares and stock wheels/tires tucked away in. Looks goofy as hell

I’m so curious does it affect your ride, towing, and suspension? I don’t wanna **** something up. These things cost too much hahaha

Use good quality hubcentric spacers and it shouldn't "hurt" anything

Can you tell me where you found 1" hubcentric spacers? I can only come up with 1.5 and 2inch.
