Got a new Ram 2025 1500 Longhorn, with the 3L IL6 TT, Delmonico red pearl, and I didn't think I would be one of those people dropping thousands on vehicle stuff... Buuuut...

Here it is as it sits today:

I have already paid and have booked to get a spray in bedliner done as well as side steps.. (new to truck Lingo... feels like when I started riding. lol Lots to learn.)

And I'm thinking I need to get a dark tint on it as well to help cut down on interior heat.

Open to input. Right now I'm in DFW and working with Truxx on the liner and step...

Love the truck ride is amazing, noise isolation is amazing, power is more than I expected. It's a comfortable beast. :) No name yet.

Congrats on your new truck. I’m a fan of Delmonico Red. But I think you miss-typed your truck model. I’m pretty sure that’s a Big Horn not a Longhorn.

People see that theres no protectors on the doors and will park beside you and purposely dent your doors when they swing their door open. Every door has a dent on mine. Rant over.

Beautiful truck!!!!

Hopefully the side rails (steps) I'm having installed Friday will help to discourage that.

You can't totally prevent them but there are ways to really reduce the number of door dings you get. Parking where no one else parks is a big one. Sure, you might have to walk further but it's worth it to me. Plus I get a little more exercise. Another way is to put the air suspension in off road 2 and deploy the power steps. Most of the cars and smaller SUV's will hit their doors on the steps and not the painted surface of the truck. Of course that means you need to have air suspension and power steps lol.

How do you get the power steps to stay deployed? Is there a setting?
.
I wish Ram would put a button on the keyfob for manual deployment of the power steps. Also a way to lock them out so they don't deploy every time a door is opened.
.

Yes, there is a setting in Uconnect to deploy them, but it only works for when the truck is stationary. There is also a setting to keep them stowed and will not deploy when you open the doors.
