Slow drop tail gate

Does anyone know if the parts to make the tail gate drop slow on a Bighorn are retrofitable. I dont like having a gas shock sitting on the side to do the same ting.

yes i did it to mine its very simple to do its $55 from Mopar online or dealer https://store.mopar.com/accessories...rotection/tailgate_damper_kit_82215550AB.html this is the site i bought it from and it comes with directions for install!

Excellent thanks. Actually I was looking for the internal type. It seems the laramie has it and works with the remote. I dont need the remote feature though.

yeah its the same part the only thing your missing to make it exactly like the Laramie is to get the fob and program it at a dealer in case anyone else stumbles across this thread!

This is the correct part number, it is installed behind the taillight.

Yep - easy install. I put it on my Level 1 Big Horn...

More accurately, the cartridge location is behind the left tail light assembly. Just so you are not taking more apart than you need.
