Slight brake pedal vibration

So I’ve noticed a slight vibration in the pedal when I’m decelerating with my foot on the brake pedal. Happens right at 15mph and continues until the truck stops.

Anyone have any idea what this could be? No squeals of squeaks during braking

Without knowing the vehicles miles and your driving style, it is likely that the front rotors have developed hard spots, high spots, or the rotor(s) have been warped.

Generally, if you feel the brake pedal pulsating, ie: a feeling of the brake pedal force pushing back on your foot, the rotor has a warp or high spots.

Best regards,

It’s a 2020 with only 4500mi on it. You think the rotors could do that that fast?

I've edited my previous message to include high spots, which can be caused by pad material melting and embedding into the surface of the rotor, or in the case of vehicles not driven every day, rust forming a high spot or an outline of the brake pad on the rotor surface.

Can it happen on a vehicle within 4500 miles? Yes, it can depending on moisture/humidity conditions, or excessive braking or other conditions leading to overheating the brake rotors (driving in hilly country, towing, high speed operation, etc.). I could relate a personal experience, but do not wish to embarrass anyone!

Sometimes a visual inspection of the rotor surface can give you a clue as to what the condition is.

Best regards,
Dusty

I concur, it's probably the rotor surface or they are warped already. I would bet the dealer will cover this one time under warranty with such low mileage. If you were at 8-10k miles, it would be considered wear and tear. Good luck!

Check out the rotors best I could when I got home from work. Driver side front rotor looks like this...couldn’t see great but it almost felt like it was a crack

This is what my front rotor looks like. Yours definitely has a crack in it.
