Slight “chugging feeling” when backing up slowly

Just wanted to add my may 19 build rebel does this also and it's starting to annoy me. I notice it mostly lightly riding the brakes at idle speed, truck definitely chugs a bit just like it has a big cam or even a slight miss.

For me also it is worse when it's cold but also does it on 80 degree days totally warmed up in traffic.

Anyone got this surging resolved? Mine has been doing the same thing since it was new. Thought it would go away, but has not. Now have abou 15000 miles on my 2019 5.7 limited.

I am curious if the throttle plate is supposed to not be fully closed when the engine is off? I remove the air intake, and looked into the throttle body, and the plate was not fully seated, and thought maybe that could cause the surging or loping. I was able to push it closed, but is sprung back open slightly. I have worked on older vehicles with a separate IAC motor, and the throttle plate would close on them. This was first time to look at a newer model.

Hey all. Read all the TSBs. None seem to apply to this issue. When I reverse or even go forward slowly and allow the truck to creep under its own power. It feels like it’s chugging slightly. No indicator lights etc. doesn’t seem to do it every time. Quite annoying. Just wanted to probe here before I waste my time at dealer for them to say “ could not replicate the issue”. Thanks

Mine definitely feels like the transmission or the torque converter; the engine seems to be running fine.

Mine does the same thing and it is an Ecodiesel, so I think it must be the transmission. 4000 miles. Feels like it is slipping? Very light chugging in reverse. Barely Noticeable.

I also have the Limited Slip rear end…so there’s that possibility too.

Hoping it doesnt become worse. This is an older thread. Has anyone learned more about this issue?

Thread was started in 2018 too, lol.
It's hard to start a new thread or bring an old one back. I don't really blame him for posting in this. The search feature on this forum is god awful so I would rather see threads with 1 topic if it's already been discussed.
