Simcoe Springs

Has anyone run the simcoe springs from this video?

I accidentally ordered the 351-893HD springs thinking they were set to provide no lift in the rear...turns out that they give 1in of lift...so I am likely to order the 351-891HD set that says 0" of lift.

I just installed the 351-893HD in the rear of my truck (2022 Laramie 4wd 5th gen). I'm levelled using Bilstein 5100. I gained an inch in the rear which is barely noticeable. I put 400lbs of flooring in the box yesterday and there was less about 1/4 inch of sag. I feel like the truck rides slight firmer and definitely handles better.

I wouldn't mind gaining a inch in the rear of my truck. I pull a 26' travel trailer and run air bags now to help with the sag. I plan on doing a level with the 5100 Bilstein's and was thinking about going up an inch with the level. I looked at a 2025 with the off-road package, which was the only thing I was interested in. I'm pretty happy with my truck now, and really don't want to deal with the new motor until they get the bugs out.

If you pull a trailer the cargomaxx springs are your best friend. I also have air assist bags in but never use them anymore. The 351-893HD made a massive improvement loaded and unloaded.

The link says it’s for 2018’s. But they fit both the DS and DT model perfectly. I’m running the HD right now and have been very impressed. But I do consider running the XHD at some point. The tongue weight on my trailer is around 720-750 pounds. With my wdh dialed in i sit about 1in higher in the rear while towing. I sit pretty much level with just the tongue and no weight distribution Hitch.

The only reason I consider the XHD is, I feel like my weight distribution Hitch might be putting a little too much pressure on the A-frame of the trailer and its current configuration. And I’m wondering if I could get to the extra spring capacity could take some of that weight off of The A-frame of the trailer while still letting the WDH function like it’s supposed to.

Your set up looks pretty good in the pictures. My trailer tongue weight is 650lbs. Sounds like the HD springs would work great for me.

I put the Simcoe HD springs on my 21 Rebel about a month ago. I had recently bought a 25 ft Jayco travel trailer with 580 pounds tongue weight and had a little sag with a weight distribution hitch. Called Simcoe Spring Service after watching their video and he recommended the HD springs. Now truck sits level with trailer and Snugtop camper shell. I bought the progressive hd version, and sit 1.75 inches high in rear empty empty and the empty daily driving is great. If you decide to do it, call the guys at Simcoe Spring Service and they will guide you right.

Installed the 351-893hd springs today on my 22 Bighorn. Install is pretty easily done in the driveway. It takes longer to gather the tools and jack up the truck than it does to put them in. Rides great unloaded but haven't tried loaded yet. Gained 1 inch as expected and it isn't really noticeable.
