Side mirrors chrome cover removal help!

There is an extensive separate thread on this. Most of us that have attempted this have broken at least one mirror, which turns it into a very expensive mod. Replacement glass is >$200/side.

I did mine yesterday with the suction cup method and it worked amazingly well. Took all of 20 minutes and NO broken glass. It does take a lot of force to the point where I felt I was going rip the mirror motor out but it was fine.
