shroud above rear view mirror

Anyone know how to remove/get into the shroud that is at the top of the windshield above the rear view mirror? I need to take it down WITHOUT BREAKING IT so I can install an indicator light facing out.

What type of indicator are you installing, if you don't mind me asking?

I'm going to tow my truck behind my motorhome. The add-on supplemental braking system came with an indicator light that wires into the brake switch so I'll know when the braking system activates. I should be able to see it light up in the rear camera on the RV. Now all I gotta do is find the "cold" wire on the brake switch to tie into.

Anybody done the same for a truck with all the extra sensors for adaptive cruise etc in front of the mirror. It’s an entirely different shroud.
