I was thinking red

In my effort to keep mine an #ALLBLACKDODGERAM (I know) I couldn't do red. Only non-black color that will be on the truck is the white license plates and the thin blue line on my licence plate cover to support law enforcement, so I couldn't do red.

Don't know about painting the calipers, but I was thinking of going more radical. Baer makes 15" rotors for the Silverado. We have the same bolt pattern.

Soooo, I am thinking of buying a set of these rotors, then working with a buddy of mine who has a machine shop to make brackets so I can mount 4-piston Brembo front calipers from the Challenger on my Ram. I have never really been satisfied with the front brakes on my 2019. So, the thought of 15 inch rotors and Brembo 4-piston calipers appeals to me. I also know someone who can make me some custom braided steel brake lines for the front so that I can use these calipers.

If I do this, I will post up some pics. Rockauto sells remanufactured calipers for the 2016 Challenger that are black.

For anyone thinking about doing this, you might want to consider using the G2 Brake Caliper Paint System.

It's an epoxy paint that I used this on my 2015 Mustang GT and it came out very well. A link and a few pics below.

Here'e mine with painted red calipers. One with before and after Running Boards installed. I have black painted calipers on my wife's black Tahoe. It's more subdued and doesn't pop like the red, so I went with the red on the Rebel. Red on my daughter's Cherokee Trailhawk too (matches the red recovery hooks).

you do know the 2019 rams already have just shy of 15 inch rotors on it already front and back.

Here is one of mine. I used high heat primer, silver, black and clear. I also used some high heat vinyl stencils to spell ram. IMG_5463.jpg

Here u go. If you need a zoom out picture let me know. These are what i have on the phone.
Did you paint the calipers in place or unbolt them and tie back? I have the red G2 kit coming this week. The truck only has 550 miles so want to get this done before the road and break dust gets too bad. Thanks

Nothing beats powder coat , but the process is just a lot of work that I don’t want to deal with on the truck .

I did the rotors on my last Mustang gt that i owned. $7 can of high temp red engine paint and about an hour to scrub the calipers clean and mask off the wheel well and rotors. Came out great. I say do it!
