Shock question

I have a '20 Laramie without air ride. Have 62000 miles on it. The truck seems to bounce more driving over hops in the road and speed bumps. When parked it doesn't seem to bounce more than normal but over bumps and humps in road seems to not recover as fast. Can anyone share how a dealer would test for bad or worn out shocks. I have extended warranty and would like it looked at but dont want to waste time or get charged for it being OK, if I dont have to be.
Thanks

Shocks and struts are wear items and not covered under warranty. My guess is they are cooked, I changed mine before 40,000 miles as the ride was getting real sloppy.

Some service contracts cover struts, Maxcare covers them. It's all in the print of your contract.

Again more specifically, how do they diagnose bad shocks ? I would guess road test and visual for obvious issues. Was wondering if they manually try and bounce the truck if so it doesn't bounce a lot just over road bumps.

Visual leak inspection, noise, and performance test-taking it off and testing is silly. On car jounce test works, when possible.
