Does any ram owners know what this little sensor is? I don’t have the lane assist or the adaptive cruise, auto wipers

I was told when I had my windshield replaced that it might be the humidity sensor for the HVAC.

I believe it houses lane departure and auto dimming cameras. May include other sensors as well. Seems i read about it in the manual.

My truck and Cruz do not have those options on our vehicles, we also don't have Auto wipers.

It could be a "blank switch" type of thing, they might use the same housing for the trucks with a sensor there but your truck just has an empty spot where the rain sensor would be.

Ok, you got me curious so i went out and took a photo of mine.
Both seem to have the one sensor in common, but mine has an additional one. I have lane departure, mirror dimming and light dimming.
As stated earlier, it looks like the enclosure can be configured to hold multiple sensors to support different vehicle options.

I believe it is the light sensor for turning on/off the automatic headlights.

The auto headlight sensor is in the center-top of the dash. It's that small "bump" up towards the windshield.

That could be the case, because when they took the windshield out the sensor was actually wired up. If that is the case, I could probably just add the wiper control with the auto wipers.
