I have taken the truck to my dealer 5 times so far for "Uconnect requires service" pop up since 1st week of ownership.
Dealer claims that they have replaced antenna and bunch of other stuff.
The issue occurs at random. sometimes every few minutes and some times I have no popup for weeks. Looks like that this an issue across all CDJR UConnect system.
Came across a TSB related to this issue (pic posted below) that indicates that this issue could be caused because of missing "security certificate". of course my dealer is clueless about this!

So, I did go to the system info screen and came across a tab called "trusted credentials" there are over 50 of them listed. None make sense to like China certification authority.
What the heck are these for?

How can I validate that I have the security cert?
If I don't, how do I get it?

BTW my non-nav Android version is 10. Should this be a higher version of Android?

So I can't speak to the TSB, but I can explain the security root certs. Basically all encryption over the internet for computers rely on a set of root certificates. You'll hear those also refered to as a 'Certificate Authority' or CA. These root certificates can generate new certificates for other computers to use, and signs them, so that other computers know they're legit. Take for example this forum:

We can see that 5thgenrams's certificate is signed by the GTS Root R4. There are only so many trusted public root cert providers, but you generally don't see them as they're buried in your web browser/computer's inner settings. Nothing to worry about, and the China certs are just there so that a computer could technically connect to a server thats certificate is through that certificate authority. Because it's based on Android, it likely came with a lot of those by default. Nothing to worry about, just how computers work.

Think you are digging way to deep into this, and worrying about things that don't pertain to the issue. When you don't understand what you are looking at, it's easy to get overwhelmed and confused
