Just so I understand you're covering your seats so they don't wear?.... for what gain? Is this for future trade in / sale? @$70K I'd want to sit on the leather and continue to hold FCA accountable to repair / replace. That's just me though and I can be stubborn at times :)

I agree with you @matt. We all spent the extra money for the high end trim with the color and material that we wanted. Leather is supposed to be a durable high quality material. I hace seen some neat Carhartt seat covers out there and I may put on the back seats when I have kids (MAYBE) but that being said, we should have saved money and just got cloth seats if we were going to just cover them. I have not seen any of this wear on my seats yet, (Mountain Brown Filigree)

Hi CMENT,
We're sorry to hear that you are also experiencing this. Should you decide to visit your dealer, please send our team a private message and we would be happy to provide you with additional assistance throughout that process!

Dear RAM Care Specialist - none of us are really interested in your "apologies" - all you guys ever do is ask for a PM and then....nothing... Man do something - advocate for the customer if "Ram really cares".....

After dealing with customer care for a month i'm going to arbitration . customer care after month of back and forth says they cant override digital imaging which denied warranty , what a waste of time they are. They could have told me that on day one. This delimitation on a new so called leather seat is not acceptable it started on week one. i Know we have had this discussion before and I'm beating a dead horse but two shops have told me that they think this panel on the seats is not real leather but some of the seat is. You judge by the picture but i know if they don't fix this on a 70,000 dollar truck they have lost my business. i have bought a new high end ram every three years and this 2019 has been a thorn in my side with all its little issues since day one. I was denied twice by Ram, but Ram or my Dealer? has taken care of this now ! at a local upholstery shop they told me what I had was a "surface dye" and the type of leather they installed was a "saturated dye" !!!! that's why my seat bottoms have not held up. maybe that will help you.

.
I've only known one other company with a "customer care" culture as 100% useless and 110% frustrating as "Ram Care", and that is the wireless carrier in the US with the yellow & black "pin drop" logo. Too bad it's not as easy to ditch a car company as it is to switch wireless carriers ;-)

Please keep us posted. This was one of the two colors we were considering for our Ram.
My cover was finally replaced last Friday. The new one looks good and does seem to have a more durable feel to it.

I am in agreement with you, the only reason for a seat cover is you work in an industry that your clothing (dirt/grease/kitchen) would cause abnormal wear and tear. I am not saying folks are wrong but I want to enjoy my seats and if they wear in 4 years then I will fork over a few hundred bucks and replace the cover. Katzkin leather is like 700 for the whole truck,
I got a Katzkin quote for entire truck. Was 1350.00
