Screen mirroring from phone to 8" screen

I noticed there is a screen mirroring function on the Uconnect and it recognizes my phone, but nothing happens. Are these screens actually able to mirror your phone? Better yet, can I play movies through it?

I can using a jail broken iPhone and carbridge... but You certainly won’t be able to mirror a phone screen, on a moving vehicle, using standard tools.

i am not sure what fuctionalty you are seeing - but I would be interested if someone knows.

The screen mirroring function in the Uconnect setting you see is for CarPlay and Android Auto.
