Santa has a brand new sleigh and is loving it. Take a look at my signature. I have already done a bunch of mods! Tomorrow the tonneau cover will be finished. The power for it is already done.

No, I do not own a shop but I had a pretty good idea what I wanted to do before I ordered the truck so I had several things ready to go before it arrived. I have been busy though!

I like the Powder Coat of the calipers and rotors.

I have not been a fan of the brown interior, but your truck has changed my mind! It looks amazing!

Do you mind saying how much it cost to clear bra the vehicle? You can also PM me if you prefer. Thanks Santa ;)

Probably a little help from the elves!

Nice looking truck , Santa! What's involved in powder coating calipers?

You will need to remove and disassemble the calipers (I did the rotors too) and then spend some time with a file to smooth out some of the seam/mold marks so that it has a better finished appearance. The powder coat company should be able to powder coat in 2 days including taping up ALL of the areas that you don’t want coated like the machined mating surfaces and of course the sliding parts and piston holes. Be extra sure that the pistons and sliding parts do not have ANY sand blasting media inside them.
You will need to bleed the brakes.
Business has been slow for my local mechanic due to the CoVid-19 issue so he was willing to keep my truck on his rack for a few days as long as I paid him to remove the calipers and bleed the brakes. Money well spent!

Did you file for that $250 “Bonus drive” rebate? All online, hundreds of us have gotten it. Easy-peasy. 1 requirement to meet. No spamming.

Sorry bout’ that. Course if you happen to be a single guy and this is your only vehicle, which is not uncommon, that would be true.
No, I am married with multiple vehicles but my credit union, AAA in my area, my homeowners insurance, my wife’s employer and any of the groups that I am affiliated with are not a part of “Bonus Drive”.

I’ve heard this twice now in a week. Go back to that site, scroll down to the bottom and there should be a contact phone number. I’ve seen 2 different ones but both are 800 type. Call them and ask what the deal is about that.
It’s been a year for me however I don’t remember having to go through that extra hoop.
If it is a requirement for a certain affiliate bank/credit union/dog breed then I’ll just stop telling people about it. Getting too hard to keep up with who wants you to do what...
