I recently updated (forced rather) the software on my Samsung S20. Since updating, my phone phonebook will no longer connect to my truck. I can save individual numbers to my favorites, but it routinely will be erased for seemingly no reason. Has anyone else experienced this issue?? From what I have researched, the Samsung Galaxy S20 should be supported by the truck. I had no issues until about March, after a software update. I am currently running Android Version 11 and have the May 1st, 2021 security patch.

If I plug my phone in, I can still use Android Auto, and my phone recognizes my contacts and Google works just fine to call these contacts by saying "Ok Google call, ###". However, when not plugged in and connected through Bluetooth, my phonebook contacts do not appear and only the number is displayed during phone calls.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I have been struggling with this same issue on my Galaxy S10e. I gave up on pairing my contacts and setting favorites. It's drives me nuts that it just deletes them. Sometimes it just loses my entire phone as a bluetooth connection and I have to repair it. I believe it's an issue that happens after I use Android Auto. I highly doubt this will ever get resolved. With Ram moving on to the new Uconnect interface, updating and maintaining the old one will be less and less of a priority.

It ain't so! This is driving my crazy to have a 2020 vehicle that can't pair with a smartphone.
