Safe to use Unmarried Tazer DT?

I'm reading over the Tazer DT instructions trying to find an answer to this question: If I just use KillByFob, does it keep the gas pedal disabled even if the Tazer is disconnected? I'm thinking of a situation where a thief breaks in, creates a key fob, starts the truck but the gas pedal is dead. So he finds the Tazer DT plugged in and disconnects it. Can he drive away then?

The instructions also seem to imply that ONLY the fob used to lock the truck will enable the gas pedal when the truck is unlocked, and that unlocking using a key or different fob (they mention proximity unlock, which I don't have) will not enable the gas pedal without entering the PIN code whether the PIN lock is enabled or not. This raises the issue that even if I don't enable PIN lock and just enable KillByFob, that I should still create a PIN code regardless.

Their instructions are not the greatest and raise other questions.

Thank you for helping and replying.
You might want to look at some of there video's on YouTube I think it still works even if unplugged.

Writing too much can corrupt the chips. I've had several flash ram devices that died after too many writes.

Does IGLA disable remote start or do you have to use a different fob and system (i.e. Compustar) to have remote start again?
IGLA lets you keep all factory options and doesn’t delete or write eeprom chipsets like tazer. Compustar adds full alarm and tracking and lets it remote start with a check engine light on unlike factory

You unplug it and some functions are active if married BUT you simply use a key programmer like an im508 that also is a diagnostic scanner and relearn your throttle parameters after you delete snd make a new key. Its a plug and play deterrent (barely

You can get a Tazer Shield and make it harder for some one to unplug the Tazer
You don’t need to unplug it, just cut 2 wires (or all of them) and then use a gray connector (they normally do) to delete and make a new key. You just won’t have a working uconnect by cutting the wires.
