S&B Intake Question

Installed the S&B intake a few months back and originally did not install the rubber plug for the side of the box because I figured it would allow more air. I live in FL and it says something about installing it for hotter climates so I figured I would put it in to see if it did anything. The only difference that I think I noticed is that it's a bit quieter under full throttle. Does anyone else who has this intake experimented with this or have any input? Thanks in advance!

I have the same intake here in NJ and never thought about it. It gets hot up here but not Florida hot, you guys are nuts with that weather and can keep it!!!!

As someone who used to live in FL.... you guys can keep your terrible traffic and insane drivers. I don't miss 75, 275, or I-4 at all!!! Insanity. I'm down there about 3 times a year visiting FL. Except for family, I hate it.
