Running dash cam cable from tailgate - where is the best cable entry to the cabin?

I'm about to run a cable from tailgate or rather from the registration plate to the cabin - to the rear view dash cam mirror, where is the best place to insert this cable to the cabin? is it somewhere under the rear seats? Thx

I’d make a water tight splice and run it to the firewall. Then you’re in the dash

I ran cables under the rear floor carpet alongside the center console and up the dash.

Getting the original plastic plug out was a bear.

ran mine alone the frame and in via firewall. I've got like a 10 wires that I added through firewall lol
