GM! 23 Rebel, and i'm looking to change out my running boards for the OE rock rails. in the parts catalog, they have different part numbers for the 2500vs 1500.
i've searched marketplace and there are several takeoff sets available locally from 2500's, has anyone tried interchanging them? what are the differences? i imagine if anything is different it would be something like hole spacing which i should be able to "adjust"
i have 3 brackets on my running boards same as the 2500's
this isnt something you can just discover without putting hands on the parts, hoping to stumble across someone who has done this... and asking the dealer isnt helpful..
thanks in advance!

2500s still use 4th gen cabs. The mounting of the running boards is different between the 4th and 5th gens. If you had the skills, or money to pay a custom shop, you could probably make adapters to get them to work but at that point you'd be better off time and money wise to just buy the correct 5th gen parts

yep, i wasnt aware of that, but since my post, i've found a picture of both and saw how different they were. i could do the fab work, but its really not worth it.. i found a guy on ebay who has a set off of an rho here in texas and i just bought his and paid shipping.. i think that will be better.. thank you for your reply!
