Thanks for this. I just ordered a Bumper Shield Magnum to ward off Houston drivers. They said the 424 (round bar step in your photo) would set off the rear sensors so I went with the 20" x 6" idiot plate.

I understand completely! Mine was 3 weeks old and had just over 1000 miles when I was rear-ended. Luckily he had insurance and nobody was hurt. It destroyed his Tahoe. It will be ok....I just picked mine up from the body shop today and it looks like the day it was born.

Sorry to hear that you got rear ended OP. I see your paper plates. 6 days old! That stinks. As a side: I almost bought a Ram from Mac Haik in Austin (I am in TX too) but ended up buying in New Braunfels at Bluebonnet Dodge/Ram as they gave me a better trade and an extra 1k off for a being a USAA member. (I live south of Austin and north of San Antonio)
