After replacing my muffler with a Borla a guy just wants to rev they're truck to hear what it sounds like. My question is why won't it rev over 4k rpm's in park or neutral?

That's what it's governed at from the factory.

Been that way since the 5.7 HEMI was introduced in 2003, my 2003 ram has that limitation. No reason to really free rev to 5 or 6k rpm anyway
