when i went through the 920 miles round trip of Dempster + 414 miles round trip of Dalton (I only did half of it and turned around... didn't make it all the way to the end due to snow and ice on Atigun Pass and I was solo) + 2774 miles round trip of Alcan + 135 miles of Denali Highway +120 miles round trip of McCarthy Road + 270 miles round trip of Glennallen Highway + 175 miles of Top of The World Highway, I was glad that I went with the Fox 2.5 DSC with Carli Rebel HD rear springs. All those roads are mostly gravel roads, and filled with millions of potholes and frost heaves (dips and bumps).
EVERYONE struggled. Whether it was HD trucks towing trailers or carrying campers, or lifted trucks with RC or BDS 4"+ kits, or regular SUVs and sedans, all of them struggled and were going slow to avoid potholes and such.
Me, with 900lb in the bed, blew through all of those like it's normal road at 65mph. and I didn't even air down until I did Dempster and Dalton because those were wet and muddy. How do I know people with RC and 4"+ kits using spacers and drop brackets struggled? Because they showed up at campsite hours later and complained about the road, saying how rough it was. Then they looked at my truck and I laughed and said I was doing 65mph+ the whole time and it was smooth.
so yeah, like i always say: if something is good to handle high speed desert runs, it's plenty good for whatever else you throw at it.
