Rough Country Vertex 2.5 Leveling Struts

According to @boogielander the rough country has no race team so all their stuff is garbage and he rode in a lifted truck one time that had a rough country lift and almost died because the ride was so terrible. He also works at a lift shop and knows more than everyone. I hope this helps.

I have Rough Country non reservoir leveling struts on my 25 Rebel, and have been happy with them. Ride is slightly firmer than stock.

see, you're learning. also flattered im living rent free in your mind whenever topics like this show up im the first one you think of.

also not one time, a few times.
other than that, you're mostly correct:
it's trash
it's terrible
i know more than everyone.

op:
but yes, RC is trash. you're better off with eibach or bilstein than this junk if you wanna save some money. it's called "rough" country for a reason.

Was looking for personal experiences and opinions, and got them! Thanks for members. I'll ponder next steps without RC

He is correct.

My beat up dirt princess 19 big horn has the 6 inch rc lift with the n3 poverty strut upgrade. It’s not bad but I wouldn’t dare be out jumping ditches or anything like that, but to be fair I wouldn’t with a more expensive , same idea kit like bds. Following some weekend-warrior “vehicle enthusiast” jeepers through Uncle Clifford’s groomed trails is perfectly fine, that is, when my alignment stays in spec of course.

Overall RC has served me well. No questions asked warranty. One call resolution. Not huge for me, but since people would be ecstatic that an American human answers their phones. No “press 1 for…” bs and extremely fast shipping on replacement.

If I had a Laramie+ I wouldn’t have “cheaped” out. Sh!t, I probably wouldn’t have lifted at all. But we’re here. Until a 392 gets stuffed in a 1500.

when i went through the 920 miles round trip of Dempster + 414 miles round trip of Dalton (I only did half of it and turned around... didn't make it all the way to the end due to snow and ice on Atigun Pass and I was solo) + 2774 miles round trip of Alcan + 135 miles of Denali Highway +120 miles round trip of McCarthy Road + 270 miles round trip of Glennallen Highway + 175 miles of Top of The World Highway, I was glad that I went with the Fox 2.5 DSC with Carli Rebel HD rear springs. All those roads are mostly gravel roads, and filled with millions of potholes and frost heaves (dips and bumps).

EVERYONE struggled. Whether it was HD trucks towing trailers or carrying campers, or lifted trucks with RC or BDS 4"+ kits, or regular SUVs and sedans, all of them struggled and were going slow to avoid potholes and such.
Me, with 900lb in the bed, blew through all of those like it's normal road at 65mph. and I didn't even air down until I did Dempster and Dalton because those were wet and muddy. How do I know people with RC and 4"+ kits using spacers and drop brackets struggled? Because they showed up at campsite hours later and complained about the road, saying how rough it was. Then they looked at my truck and I laughed and said I was doing 65mph+ the whole time and it was smooth.

so yeah, like i always say: if something is good to handle high speed desert runs, it's plenty good for whatever else you throw at it.
