It's a well known issue. We replace them all the time at the dealer.

You hit the nail on the head! These are 'Murican trucks! You start using "kms" (whatever the hell those are) and the damn truck will buck and shake and try to toss of that yoke of European-inspired tyranny. Freedom is measured in miles! Not liters or whatever the hell your regent makes you use.

But, yeah, way too soon whether kms or miles. Those bolts have sheared: I feel sorry for whoever's going to take them out. Hopefully the replacement bolts will not suffer the same fate.

Good luck...and let us know. It should be covered by the 3yr/36,000 mile warranty, right? (Of course, I prefer to call it the 1,576,800 minute/2,280,960,000 inch warranty. YMMV.)
