Right turn signal stuck

my right turn signal came on out of nowhere, the only way to shut it off was to move the switch to the left position which turned off the blinking signal but now I don’t have a left turn signal. When it returns to neutral the right signal blinks, when I turn on the right turn signal the right signal blinks correctly. It went away after a few days and everything worked fine for months until again driving down the interstate started happening again this time lasting for weeks. I constantly have to drive around with the left blinker on to keep right side from blinking however when I turn and goes back to neutral the right side starts to go off again and I have to turn on the left signal to stop it… really annoying!!! I have a 2020 ram 1500 bighorn I saw someone else had the same issue but didn’t post anything after on if they found a fix anyone had the same issue or know the fix ?

Probably have to replace the stalk.
There was a recall for 2019 I think…. I don’t it involved 2020.

Just had that happen maybe a month or so ago on my 2023. It resolved itself either later that day or the next, I can't remember. But I've already had my turn signal stalk replaced once due to it not cancelling my left blinker. My dealer has another one, a different part number now, on order due to another active recall on it. They call it the SCCM. I'd mention it to them. Yours probably needs to be replaced.

But I've already had my turn signal stalk replaced once due to it not cancelling my left blinker. My dealer has another one, a different part number now, on order due to another active recall on it. I don't have the recall notice anymore, but I believe it was TSB 15B. Just reference that when you talk to the dealer next. When I spoke to my dealer on the phone, they also said I did not have any active recalls even though I had the notice in my hand that I got in the mail lol.

I was able to find this.. but it states an insufficient weld may prevent air bag deployment via lost signal…. i just want my damn left signal to cancel.. LOL.

Had my multifunction switch/clock spring (all one unit) replaced last week. The replacement part was bad. I'm taking it in tomorrow for the next replacement. Left turn signal would intermittently not cancel. However, it worked fine on high beam.
Finding out this is not uncommon on the 23's.

When you replaced the turn signal stalk did it fix the left blinker cancelation ?

Yes, no further issues. But I guess I have a different part number than what they put in since they advised I do still need the new SCCM (turn signal lever).

Got the truck back the day I took it in, and the turn signal stalk works fine. My dealership is a little sketchy but they did get it fixed right. New parts can often be bad out of the box.

I just picked my truck up yesterday after having the 3rd SCCM swapped out on mine. Funny story. I go to pick it up, start driving out of the lot and my steering wheel is literally turned hard left while going straight lol. I busted a u-turn and went right back. No sure how the tech who did the work messed up the degree of the wheel and didn't catch it when he drove it out of the shop. It was blatantly obvious. They got it fixed up of course but it was just funny.

Wow! I dread taking my truck to the dealership. I know these guys are "certified techs" but....... I found the air bag deactivation tool on my dash and its carrying bag in the center console after this last trip.

I think a lot of the "techs" are just kids (young adults) who are there just for a job. I think the days of having true techs who actually care about the vehicle and diagnosing / fixing the problem is long gone. I'm sure there are still some good ones out there, but far and few between today.

I also checked the Mopar site and did not get a hit on the VIN... I think we are getting the Safety Notice because we had the turn signal replaced.

I had the turn signal lever replaced also before getting a notice in the mail. Once I got the same notice you got, I called and my dealer said I should be good. But they had me bring it in to confirm the correct part number was actually put in when I had it replaced the first time. Turns out it was not, so they had to replace it again. I'd double check yours.
