Our new 1500 Limited with the standard four corner air suspension has a definite stiffer ride then our 2019 Limited 1500 did. Both were/are 4x with the short bed. Both empty.

My wife picked it up on the way home from the dealer and my son just drove it and he and his wife immediately picked it up as well (as they had a 2019 of their own).

Son thought it might be the tires, but they are P rated Perelli's, on 22's..

It shouldn't be rims because both of ours were 22''s. though his were Goodyear Eagles. Tire pressure is at 34 so that's not it.

Anybody else noticed this who has a limited?

My Limited with 22s rides fine.
You might still have it in transport mode where the air suspension doesn't do anything. It's in the UC5 menus.

The Pirellis are a great tire unlike the Goodyear junk on his.

Tire pressure should be at 36 PSI cold not 34 but that's not likely your problem, if it's actually stiff like you say my money is still being in transport mode.
If it's not food good measure bring it to Offroad 2, then entry exit, then back to normal and drive on it.

Super timely nfo, thanks. I will check that as soon as I get account access, tthe person who ordered or bought it prior to me, but never had it “delivered” or titled, was registered as the UC5 owner. We have not been able to get the account to work for us.

We have been dealing with a UC5 rep over the phone and email, its taking days to get it out the first person’s name and ours on so I may not be able to access the UC5 transport mode setting.

Is it under the vehicle settings? I had gone thru every setting I could find with the salesman and never saw that. Any additional help on this (where to find that setting) would be greatly appreciated sir.

Ok, I did a search for “transport mode” (imagine that, a search…) and see that its under the suspension settings. Now if I can just access it. Although from what I read, its not likely to be in “transport mode” due to all the electronics being operable.
Color me confused. (Nothing new,)

I assume you are talking about the Ramconnect features.
Have you tried hitting the phone button while inside the truck, the one up top?
That is typically the fastest route to get "ownership"

I don't remember the menu off the top of my head, I think it's called suspension. It's in the main settings menu.
There is alignment mode, jack mode, and transport mode.
Each one disables the air suspension from adjusting (jack mode will turn off on it's own after turning it on and off a couple of times)

Yes the Ramconnect, sorry about not being more clear. (I hear that alot from DW).

I will see whats up with the modes tomorrow. I recall seeing something about “jack mode” in the settings so I must have breezed thru that one. Since the salesman was right there with me, if its still in “transport” then we are both kinda stupid.
Me I get but both of us? Maybe I have a twin separated at birth.

Well it's not the transport mode. All suspension is normal or off. Sigh.
Made the mistake of riding in the son's 22' Escalade, magnetic shocks and such, rides way better. Might have a DW problem if she ever rides in the Caddy. But for $120K maybe it should ride better.

OK, next question. Doesn't the normal ride drop down to entry exit when you put the vehicle in park? I thought I remembered mine doing that in 2019. Read the manual but don't see where directly addresses that. Any help is appreciated.

I am learning as well. I agree the rude seems a bit harder than my 2020 big horn, i am calling the dealership tomorrow and ask the sehucle delivery dep5 a bit and if the air suspension is the reason

You can have it set to go from normal to aero at higher speeds (45 mph I believe).
Entry exit is a manual option thing you can do via the remote or inside the truck.
If you have power steps it will not let you go DOWN while the steps are out (but you can go up)

As far as I know there is no automatic way to go to entry\exit unless doing it by hand (likely to reduce wear and tear and warranty claims).

I would recommend taking the time to go through every single option on the radio, you will find a bunch of neat options and things you wish you knew. It does take a bit of time but it's 100% worth it.

Just go back to the dealer and test drive a Bighorn first and after another Limited for yourself. Service's default response is always working as intended especially if you give them a straw by saying it has air suspension vs normal.

Sigh, maybe its my memory of the 2019.

Next issue is a fuzzy/blurry rear digital camera. A thread from 2016 suggested water in the lens, so will continue searching threads.
May have to take it to the local dealer. door mirrors are fine.crisp views, rear digital view looks like its seeing through vaseline.

Check for the plastic cover on the lense. Sometimes it gets left on from the factory.
Rear view camera is in the 3rd brake light.
Backup camera is on the tailgate.

So appreciate it!
The difference between the 2 trucks as far as prep and delivery is vast. Sure it is dealer and salesperson dependent as well as me wanting to get away to start my return trip. Its all combined to create a lot of questions.

I certainly appreciate your information, hopefully I can assist someone else someday.

I wiped the camera lens off, it improved but isn't as clear as just using mirrors. Sunlight washes it out as well.

Not too impressed...

Still trying to determine if entry/exit can be set to always engage when the truck is in park. I know the key fob does it.
