Hello All, I have a 2019 Big Horn 5.7. Just recently both of my fobs are not being detected by the truck and the lock and unlock work off and on. I have to start the truck by pushing the fob into the button. I have read about a rear window or brake light leak that causes a shortage in a RF module that is behind the rear seat that gets wet. I cannot see any signs of leaks, no crack, no stains, nothing. I also checked for LED bulbs which I read could cause interference. I can see the module when I flip the seat up and it does not look obviously wet. I have heard these mods go bad. My question is, I can order one and put it in pretty easily I'm sure, but I would have to program it correct? Could I use AlphaOBD to do this? I have a friend with the setup.

Pretty sure the key-fobs need to get programmed to it and as far as I know that is a dealer only or maybe a lock smith.

Absolutely the FOBs need to be programmed to the new RF Hub. And AFIK a dealer has to do it. Don't ask me how I know. I have had 2 of these replaced. One just flat failed and was covered under warranty. Second one failed because of water intrusion. So if you replace the electronic component behind the seat yourself, I am not sure you will be able to start the vehicle unless you get it programmed to your keys at the dealer. Which leaves you with the dilemma of getting the truck to the dealer when you can't drive it there.

Can you provide a pic of your RF hub module? I can't see ours because of the cover on the back wall of the cab. Are you sure you're looking at the RF hub? Here's a pic of one with the seat and cover removed that another forum member provided...
