Reverse “shutter”

I have a 2019 Laramie crew cab hemi non etorque 2wd. It currently only has just over 1000 miles. But I’m experiencing a “shutter/skipping” feeling only in reverse and with a very slight brake depression. It’s not drastic enough to take it to the dealer and at the this point I’m chocking it up to break in. Has anyone else felt or experienced this?

I've experienced the same. Around 2500 miles on mine. Like you, have not taken it to the dealer, but curious if anyone has had it fixed.

It is related to the back up obstacle avoidance. If you turn off rear parking assist you will see it go away. You can recreate it if you try to back up into tall grass...

It seems overly sensitive to me...

Hi Cross88 & bjbtx,

Please let us know via private message if you decide to have your dealers look into this. We would be happy to have your concerns formally documented and connect you with case specialists for an additional layer of assistance during that process.

I appreciate the response everyone. I currently have just over 1200 miles now and since my original post I haven’t really experienced it as much. It really is hit and miss. I’ve also tried turning off the rear sensors as Bradleys suggested and I do agree it is overly sensitive. It’s locked the brakes for some mid height grass/shrubbery. RamCares, thank you, but for now I don’t feel it’s a big enough issue to warrant a dealer visit for it.

I've got 1600 miles and I've experienced the same 3 or 4 times.. can't figure out the rhyme or reason, but so far it's always been reversing with any amount of turn on the wheel

Same here, not bad enough to take to the dealer yet, but on my list when I have the time to bring it in. Including my left rear seat that doesn't recline
