I am looking to upgrade and have come across this box from Fox Acoustics: https://www.foxacoustics.com/products/2019-ram-crew-cab-1-12-vented-sub-box?variant=37489124638869

Does anyone have one of them? Will I have access to the bin with it? I forgot to ask the about the bins when I called, but they said is is 1.9 cubic feet and a mounting depth of 7.5".

I am generally looking at pairing the box with this amp https://www.jlaudio.com/collections...d/products/jd500-1-car-audio-amplifiers-98362 and this sub https://www.kicker.com/compvx-12-inch-subwoofer.

I am not an audiophile by any stretch, but open to any recommendations for a single sub setup that won't stick out from the seats much, and that will work well from rock to rap, around the price of these or less.

Pick your subs
then pick your amp
then build the box to fit the subs

you should have at least close to the recommend RMS wattage that the subwoofers recommend at the appropriate resistance. More available power is better for headroom, though not necessary if you have a efficient amp. Class D amps usually are cheaper but have more distortion, but for subwoofers it may not matter as much, but that also means higher chance of clipping.

TLDR: your subwoofers recommend 750w each each = 1500w. Your amp only puts out 500w @ 2ohm and 250w at 4ohm. You can probably power a single subwoofer but you're leaving a lot of potential on the table.

I've got two IDQ8's for sale if interested; mounting depth ~6" which means no seat spacers needed. I upgraded to 10's

The Classic SA can take 1000 watts each no problems even though they are rated 750 watts so this one would be a good match for 2 12"s
I have 2 10" Sundown SA V2 and i'm using a Taramps Smart 3K (3000 watts rms @ 1ohm)
