Removal of Exterior Door Trim?

I have a 2019 RAM 1500 Limited. The exterior chrome passenger door trim piece that includes the word "Limited" is delaminating. I can source the replacement piece from RAM. My question is, how do you remove the old trim piece safely, (not scratching door paint). Presumably the new piece has adhesive to stick to the door.

...if it's adhesive, use nylon fishing line to get under the trim, saw it back and forth to cut through the tape. You'll need to carefully remove the remaining tape after the trim or badge is pulled away using a plastic scrapper. Take your time and it can be done safely. You can also line the trim with blue masking tape, to further protect the paint around the trim. Just advice, tackle at your own risk! I have safely removed trim and badges this way.
