Alright, I know, safety safety safety….but….. how can I get remote start on my 2019 DT that does not have the hood latch sensor. I have checked the BCM and I do have the purple and blue tracer wire in Connector A Pin 11. From what I read, I thought I just needed to t tap that, put a resistor on that wire I have added and ground it. Am I missing something? I tried to set the ohms set in alpha to 500 and 1000 and neither worked it seemed like. (I have a 1000 resistor on the wire that is grounded) And I set the hood adjar setting to present and all that has done is tell the truck the hood is open and beep at me. With that set to present, I try the remote and it does just what you think, notifies me remote start is present but cannot work because the hood is open. Then if I turn it off and try to hit the button, the truck’s horn beeps and that’s it, no word on remote start on the dash.

If you made it this far, please help!
I have seen some folks say you need to cut p11 but I might be a tad confused on that.

Have you driven the truck over 32mph yet? Then try remote starting.

I have unfortunately. If you set the hood adjar to present, will it always show the hood is open? Or am I even supposed to do that. I have remote start set to present.
