So has anyone had the red brake light come on while in drive and the brakes are applied for a long time? Fluid level is fine. Tap the pedal a few times and it goes out. Wanna know the kicker? Truck has 413 miles and it’s been happening since 100 miles. Anyone else have this same issue and have a fix? Gonna schedule with the dealer but I’m not thrilledIMG_8218.jpeg

That's your parking brake indicator. I'd select it and deselect just to make sure...at your own risk. Since you are having the indicator pop up, might be an issue with your electronic parking brake.

See now I thought that at first too so I let off the brake pedal and the truck rolled. The parking brake wasn’t on and the light didn’t go out. When I test drove the truck and parked it, on a hill so I set the parking brake, the sales guy went to fill it up with gas and tried to drive off with it still engaged. I wonder if that has anything to do with it? Idk the parking brake works as it should tried it a few times. Gonna schedule it in tomorrow.

Hopefully the dealership figures it out. Most modern electric parking brakes will disengage once you give it throttle. This is my first Ram with one. I haven't tried it yet. I know my Jeep GCL had some known issues with it's elec parking brake. My work around was to never engage it...:cautious:

This is my first Ram all together. It’s comfy has plenty of power which does put a smile on my face when I give it throttle but I can’t say I’m not concerned with something showing up so fast!

I hear ya. Hopefully it's not an issue. This is my first RAM 1/2 ton. Previous 3 we're HDs. No real issues other than UC5. My GCL was played with electrical issues. The final work around was to sell it. Haha. Beautiful SUV though. I only have Just under 600mi on mine. Other than the UC5 constantly telling me to connect a phone for Android, no glitches. Hopefully for many more , 10ks more, trouble free Miles.

Unless they changed something for 2025, the parking brake will NOT disengage when you apply throttle. I’ve had my TRX for almost 4 years, and I still get tripped up by that about once a day.

I hope it’s just an electrical deal or software problem maybe. Not sure definitely gonna find out though.

No I watched it lurched a little and he disengaged it and kept on. Didn’t look like anything broke. Idk hopefully nothing major.
