Recon LED projector headlight not bright

Does anyone else have a problem with the brightness of their recon LED headlights? When I first got them, they were bright but only about 10 feet in front of my truck. I live in a pitch black town and that wasn’t too good for night driving. I aimed them up a little bit, but they just aren’t bright. If a car is coming towards me, I can’t see where my lights are pointing and half the road is dim for me. If a car behind me has bright headlights, I can see their lights around my car.
Is this expected? Anyone else experience this kind of issue?

No experience with these specifically, but in my experience with aftermarket housings on 2nd Gen and 4th Gen Rams, while some may look cooler/better than factory, they will never have the output of most factory housings. The only way I've seen factory performance exceeded is with a full custom "retrofit" where you or a professional take OEM or aftermarket housings (usually OEM) and install HID or LED projectors.

For the most part with headlights, "you get what you pay for" applies here. The really good ones are not going to be cheap.

I know thats probably not super helpful to you, but it is the truth I discovered a few years back (or more). Hope it gives you some guidance on next steps.

Thanks for the replies.. these have actual projectors fitted inside the housing, my guess is they just cheaped out on bulbs.
Unfortunately they are lacking in support as soon as I ask a real question.

I was going to go OEM LED, but I heard bad things about the light output on the 5th gen. Any feedback on that experience?

Who the heck ever said the OEM LED lights are bad? They are fantastic, it was the best money I spent on my 2020 big horn

They are crap projectors. That’s why those headlights and similar ones are so cheap.

Morimoto makes actual good aftermarket projector lights that exceed Oem quality. But they are expansive.

But the Oem led lights in these trucks are actually very good. I bought the trim model I did mainly for the led package
