I just had my truck repaired. 109,000 miles without a single issue then ignition coil went out. After that find out there is coolant leaking into the 4th cylinder, same that had the bad coil. Instead of getting a new gasket shop suggested to put in a sealant. Said the cost of doing the gasket would be too high and that I should consider selling the truck.

I hear you can buy rebuilt motors from Ram that come with a warranty. Wondering if it’s a good idea. Has anyone done this before? If so any suggestions or pros and cons of buying a rebuilt motor?

I don't see why it would be a bad idea if you're still happy with the truck. It's gonna cost you a lot more to replace the truck.
