Rebel X trailer brake controller

Hi all,
I just purchased a Rebel X, I didn’t pay attention to the lack of a trailer brake controller which I would have never thought was an option in a pick up truck. Does anybody know if this option is available, and if it’s a plug and play kind of thing?

Hello, just went through the very same thing. Unfortunately, Ram redesigned the electronic components/access from behind the dash in previous models to behind the rear seat. In addition, it's not a simple.plug and play, went to 2 different dealerships and they couldn't figure it out. I ended up purchasing the Curt Echo wireless unit and it works flawlessly. Links to your phone once plugged into the back of your truck. Been using it for the last month, major problem solved since I tow weekly. Good luck, hope this helps
