We are all aware of the rear window leaks, cracks & failures. One thing I have not seen discussed is if the failed window had ever had interaction with a tonneau cover, especially while travelling. Many of the hard folding, and some soft folding, covers rest against the rear window when fully open. Hence this poll.

Nice job on survey.
Bak Mx4, careful just putting against the glass. I take it off before I would drive with it.
Mine cracked and I don't have that type of cover. I have the Paragon that folds into the bed. Dealer replaced mine for free and no issues again (so far). I have a 2020 BH.

Mine is a tri-fold soft cover, but it stays on top of the bed when folded. Never touches the back window, mine cracked up near the top like everyone else's. Replaced for free and no issues so far.

I’m going through the process with my dealer. They said there are steps to take before replacing the window/frame. They have to use this sealant. Have to order it. If the sealant doesn’t work. They have to have Chrysler rep come in and make the determination to replace.

Don't know if they've changed the process recently, but middle of last year I wasn't required to do the sealant. They did have to have a Chrysler/warranty rep come in, take pictures, make a determination, but it was pretty cut and dry. The crack on mine could have been the poster for the TSB, it was a 100% match.

My original leaked and cracked, replaced in 2021 under the bumper to bumper. The replacement began leaking again around late 2023, but no visible cracks. Tired some spot sealing with some success, but leaked again this winter. I gave it a tidal wave of 3M two part urethane a couple weeks ago and filled the window gap to the brim. I have a can of gasoline and matches set aside for the next time it leaks, which will be the last.

My original didn't crack in the molding but leaked through the top because it wasn't sealed properly from the factory. They must have run out of sealant that day and didn't give a f**k because there was so little in there. This was exposed and shown to me by Safelite who replaced the entire window. Now I have a lifetime warranty that includes any consequential damage (like my RF Hub which was ruined also).

While I did have a bed cover and did travel with it up against the window on occasion.. mine cracked / leaked within the first 1k miles or so, before I ever bought the bed cover. After they replaced rear window and resealed the 3rd brake light, it never leaked again. (5yrs & 79k miles)
