Rear view mirror upgrade

I'm working on what I thought was going to be an easy upgrade, however I appear to be missing something connected to the mounting. Attached is my windshield with the old mirrior removed, and the connector for the new mirror, i need some sort of adaptor to convert the d type into the twist on, google has failed me in finding it or a part number, does anyone have any solutions

I ordered one of those thinking the same thing. There appear to be different windshields and that part is for the higher trim version that has a section for mounting. That part has no way to mount to my glass

Yes it appears that it bolts to the glass.
