Had my glass replaced the other day. (new to the truck) 2023 bighorn. The rear view mirror cover is the smaller one. come to find out safelight broke the tabs that hold it in place. Anyway, superglued. But putting it back together, i cannot figure out what actually hold the bottom portion (not the narrow piece that has the sliding cover) on. Is there anything that is supposed to be on the glass itself? I saw that in a video for the larger piece, but cant find anything regarding the smaller cover.

item 10 (i think, think its a bit bigger) and 8 is what i am working with.

Any pics would be appreciated, but those seem to not exist.

Take it back to Safelite and make them replace it

Don't do anything more to the mirror or cover.
The more you do the more Safelite can say "Did we did break it? We don't know." It becomes your word against theirs.
They always take pictures of painted surfaces around the windshield area but I have never heard of them taking pics of the mirror...
Good luck.
Come back and let us know...
