I've called Fox, emailed Bilstein, and also reached out to Eilbach. I cannot find a replacement shock, other than OEM, for the rear shocks for this vehicle with this configuration. Fox and Bilstein both said the shocks for this configuration require less travel to protect the airbags from tearing. I want a stiffer shock than OEM. Anyhow, thanks a million in advance for any ideas.

I love the ingenuity of owners in that thread! I have read it front to back and see that the 4600, and maybe the 5100, might work. With the offroad group and air suspension the ride height is about 1" higher. I am unsure if that is where the shock manufacturers are seeing that they will not work, citing that i have to have less travel than the 4600 or 5100 provide to protect the air bags. I am great with motorcycle suspensions! This is all new to me as I have never owned a truck or a vehicle with air suspension before.

I have a 2021 Rebel on factory air suspension and i have FOX 2.5. No issues at all with them. They have been awesome when towing.
Can you share pictures of them installed and what size tire are you running?

Thank you for that! The Rebel also has the increased ride height of 1", correct? I'll check the part numbers for the two applications; the Limited with the ORG and the Rebel and update the thread here.

Did you have to sleeve the mounts to install the Fox 2.5?

So this is interesting. For 2022 MY the rear shock on all 1500 trim lines is the same part number. So I guess Fox and Bilstein have increased travel, vs OEM, that is concerning to them in vehicles with air suspension.

I’ve debated in going with the bilstein 5100’s since I’m leveled and have 35’s the 4600 is more on par with the oem ride quality

No the shocks mount normally. Yes, the shocks have more travel. However need to watch when jacking the ram up so the air bags dont move off the perch.
