Rear seat spacers

Does anyone have any rear seat spacers they could get some measurements from? I'd also need to know what size bolts you used in place of the factory ones. I'm trying to build a sub enclosure and found some 1.5" spacers made from MDF but they wanted almost $90 for them shipped. Seems excessive for some pieces of MDF.

Thanks.

I stuck a couple of 1/4" thick washers under them to get a little clearance for the DU-HA
Storage bin with locking lid.

Years ago, I used some washers to raise a seat in a 1997 Chevy K1500. When I had it at the shop, a technician chided me for it. He said that it greatly decreased the strength of the bolt, as far as its resistance to breakage in a high-impact crash. And I guess it made sense - the bolts are designed to be in pure shear only. If there is a stack of washers, then the bolt could have some bending moment as well. If you’re going to shim, use a one-piece spacer, and make sure it has an appropriate inner diameter.

I bought some spacers from Fox Acoustics but they're only 5/8" spacers. The ones from Net Audio were 1.5", which would have been nice but they were $90 shipped. The Fox Acoustics were <$40. They also come with new bolts. I'm trying to make a custom subwoofer box for two 10"s without having to cut my rear floor mat that doesn't affect the storage bins and it is a TIGHT squeeze back there.

+1 on using a one piece spacer instead of washers or lifts. Also make sure not to downgrade the hardness when you replace them. FYI there are 2 different sizes. I think 13 and 18mm, can't remember the thread size offhand. Recommend just pulling 1 of each and heading to your local hardware store.

Btw if you lift 1.5" you will see the unfinished seat backs in the rear window if that's a consideration.

Did you do this and how did they work out?
It works, the holes need to be extended a little to align with the bolt mounts, longer bolts for the front, the back ones you can use the factory ones
Y 20230129_124231.jpg ou can see them in the picture

@sppb32 - looks great. Is there any particular reason you went with the slotted? Could you use something like this or would there be interference on the underside?

For mine all I did was glue 2 pieces of 1/2” mdf and then got 1” longer bolts from my supplier.
