I purchased a new rear OE leather seat cover to replace one damaged from a lovely cat urine incident. All went well except for trying to reconnect the plastic channel that keeps the cover tight. Does anyone with upholstery experience have any tips to get these two channels to stretch close enough to fasten? Maybe heating the leather cover with a hairdryer? I don't want to prematurely stretch the leather.
