Rear Bumper Plug

My 21 Limited was hit and needed a new rear bumper. What the hell is this plug on the part they put on? Is this something from 22s or did they use an older part?

It didn’t attach at first.

I believe that's for a trailer ball, if you don't have the Class IV receiver. Could be the wrong part, or could be that the replacement part covers two applications -- with and without.

Found out after calling GEICO that they gave me an aftermarket part. It even fits like crap around the edges and has a huge gap. I had emailed them before repairs stating I won’t accept non-OEM but they never responded. So now it’s time to fight them to replace this ugly thing with an OEM part.
