ReadyLift stripped UCA balljoint bolt/nut

Has anyone else had the issue with their Ready Lift UCA's? While installing, the driver side installed no problem following instructions and torquing to specs. Passenger side just about got to torque specs, then stripped and free spinning. It won't go any tighter and won't come back off. I opened a ticket with Ready Lift and sent this video, (at first they didn't believe me). Their response "If you can cut off the old ball joint and rpess it out we can send you a new ball joint. Otherwise this may need to go to a shop to take care of. Thats very uncommon to see a ball joint strip out like that." Anyone else have this issue? IMG_0886.jpeg

Try putting a crowbar in the spring and pushing the arm down.. that should allow you to remove the nut.

Use a cut off tool on a dremel and cut the nut in half

grind 2 flats on the threaded part to hold stud with adjustable wrench and back off nut. Sounds as though the nut bottomed out on the threads before the taper engaged. The nut will NOT be very tight so once you break it loose you should be good. Obviously you will still have to address the ACTUAL problem but it does allow you to move along.

☝️Agree with most of that, but if you have a strap clamp available, you may be able to pull the control arms together tight enough to break the nut loose without doing any grinding. Once apart, there's a good chance all you really need to finish the job is an extra washer under the nut.

If the OP indeed stripped the threads and the nut is spinning on the stripped threads, then he will need to split/cut the nut to remove it. If the nut bottomed out on the threads before the taper had a chance to mate then then forcing the UCA using one of the methods above may work. I have also had good luck with putting the trucks weight on the suspension to force the taper to mate to remove the nut.
