I spent a week preparing the bed and here is the final outcome. The brand is Raptor and used the 4 bottle kit.

Nice job, looks really good.
Did you spray it or roll it ?

Thinking of doing this to the whole exterior of my 87 suburban hunting truck but my compressor is too small for spraying I think.

Yes sprayed it , it comes with a paint gun to attach to your compressor. If you go on YouTube, several videos on doing beds or even exterior of trucks.

Nice work Caballonegro, and sharp looking truck.
I got a quote to spray my new Ram sliding tool box for $370 at line-x. I’m going to use this product instead. If it looks as good in person as it looks from pics like this I will do my bed as well. Can you give a closeup?

I would but my truck is in the shop getting fix where the uninsured driver hit me. The two days I had it on, it looked great. At 370 though, that is not bad since this when all done cost me like $170.

Yea after seeing how much they want for a spray in, I can buy a 26 gal compressor, the raptor kit and color tint to have it match the truck I'd still come out ahead. That will probably be my next major project after I do the lowering kit and proximity entry.

I also used Raptor Liner. Can confirm it is a high quality product. I spent about 45 minutes sanding and wiping down, and it came out great.

Did you use any self tech primer or adhesion promoter or did you just scuff and sand and spray?
I did not, just scuff and spray. A buddy of mine did some adhesion coat prior to spraying the liner and his doesn't look good as mine. Mine is still perfect but I don't use my truck super hard, if that helps.

It does, thank you. I don’t use my truck super hard either. Most I ever have in there is my Golf push cart lol.

Liner still holding up to all damage. No scuffs yet!

Now that’s how you prep. Take note guys, 80% is in the prep. Looks good.

Man I don’t wanna sound like a d*** but a week of prep! Now that’s meticulous lol. Think I had a few hours in prep sanding wiping down masking and spraying. You did a good job I’m not knocking you at all.

Looks nice! Wish I went with the Raptor stuff over the Herculiner. Is the Raptor liner kind of a rubberized material..?

No it is super hard and has a really nice sheen to it. I absolutely think it was perfect for what I need and in looks.

Recently finished mine as well. That prep sucked! But I’m happy with the final product. Raptor liner is awesome.
