Ram Truck Introduces 2019 Ram 1500 Classic Warlock Edition:

I know this is simply a me thing but I don't understand why anyone would buy a new "old" RAM when the new 1500 is so great!

Matt

I just bought classsic over a "new." Personally I like still like the style of the classic over the new and it had every feature I wanted and was $4000 less than the comparable "new" model so for me a was a no brainer.

Great! You’re the one who has to pay for it. Good luck and enjoy it..

Why would anyone get a new Ram when the older style is so much cheaper? ;)

We all think about it in different ways. The Warlock package looks like a really good deal to me, essentially getting a last-gen Rebel for a lot cheaper. At this point I wouldn’t even consider a 5th gen Ram because the Classic comes with better standard equipment (in the Big Horn trim) and is always at a $17,000 discount where I live.

What standard equipment is better in a 4th gen Big Horn versus 5th gen? I'm just asking because I really don't know.

For me I don't care for the new front end of the 5th gens, plus the price was just amazing, and one more note, I don't like getting the first year of a new design, that is when you get issue that a year or two down the road have been fixed..

Sorry, really late to see this and respond. The last gen Big Horn gets the 8.4 inch radio standard and most of the options in the Level 1 equipment group standard, as well. The Big Horn gets 20 inch wheels standard, and they are a bigger tire/wheel height than the 5th gen offers. There is an under seat storage area at no extra charge, and you get front and rear parking sensors standard. You don’t have to pay extra for rear wheel well liners either, which is a really annoying thing to not have standard anymore.

Thanks for your response.

Still prefer my 5th Gen any day of the week! I have the 8.4” screen, Level 1 group, couldn’t care less about 20” wheels, in floor storage is better than under-seat IMO, parking sensors would be nice I guess, but I haven’t hit anything yet, and in my experience, they usually start chiming when you’re about 4’ away from anything anyway, plus it’s got a back up camera, rear wheel well liners, can’t argue with that one.

price ! thats why i did it! Its a second vehicle for me.
Heres an example of why at Dillon Ram in Idaho:

https://www.dennisdillonchryslerjee...ne-star-4wd-crew-cab-pickup-1c6rr7lt1gs357902. $27.7K
Engine: Regular Unleaded V-8 5.7 L/345
  • Trans: 8-Speed Automatic w/OD
  • Drivetrain: 4WD
  • Exterior: Bright White Clearcoat
  • Interior: Diesel Gray/Black
  • Mileage: 27,342
  • HWY: 21 MPG | CITY: 15 MPG †
  • Certified

It would have worked for me AND saved $30K... but it wasn’t what I wanted to give her, too much backstory to go into here.

I have ordered warlock night edition on 22th of May and it's currently in transit.

I received my Warlock on June 24, it look nice, it drive nice, all level 1 equipment is there, I loved from day 1.
Also, remember, less electronics is less pron to fail, and electronics get very expensive to fix. Plus the price is right for this truck
