Ram shakes at all speeds

I've read that entire thread. The problem that I am imagining is happening there is a shake at certain speeds which is due to a harmonic of some vibration that they haven't figure out the cause of yet. I had that with an Oldsmobile 98 I had about 25 years ago. I got it to 65mph and it would shake like I was driving over rumble strips. But it would go away at about 70. So I drove it 70.

I had a '63 olds 98 many years ago. Beautiful car, smooth and quiet, wanted to run. Don't know how I never got a speeding ticket. I'd be taking my time, in no hurry, glance down at the speedo, doin' 90! Back off to 55, felt like 35.

My current problem is at all speeds. I'll drive down my street at 10mph and it feels like I'm on a dirt road. I can be on the highway and it doesn't really get worse, it's just there.

Sounds like tires to me. Lumpy, squirmy, belt separation maybe.

If you could find a way to safely lift the truck with all 4 wheels off the ground you could run it at speed and see if it still occurs. But that's really dangerous and I doubt any shop would do it for you. I wouldn't trust just jacking up the truck on stands either. If you only did the rear wheels, I'm pretty sure traction control or ABS would freak.

Maybe find a dyno shop that is setup for AWD so the rollers move all 4 wheels.

I took it up to 20 mph on the stands. I pulled the fuse for the abs to make sure the traction control didn't kick in. I think I'm going to check all the u joints and wheels next.

I need to check the wheels and tires. I hope that's all it is. I don't mind springing for a new set if it solves the problem. I just don't want to shell out the money and then still have the problem. Any ideas how I can get loaner wheels?

This sounds very familiar to my 19 ram, except I knew mine had a issue from day one as I bought it out of state and had to drive home over 1000 miles. So I was tired but I told m buddy around the end of our 13+?hour trip that something didn’t feel right with the truck, felt slight vibrations/ wobbling like through the whole truck and he said he thought he could feel it even in the pass seat! After driving around town for a few months as it was wringer time, I didn’t think much about it. As soon as I drove on the highway I noticed it right away again! So I went to the dealer 1700 miles. Dealer told me they have never seen a new truck so out of balance, out by 2 oz. + all 4 tires, the truck had never been off road, driven hard, hit curbs etc… from there the nightmare began multiple trips to dealer with same issues, many new parts. Lied to about many different things, no loaners. Talked down to by dealers and people at ram cares, I realized real quick that no one cared. Long story short I jumped through their hoops, it was long a draining. Dealers were trying to tell me it was mds, I’ve driven mds vehicles for 12 years, that’s not it! Finally after 3 dealers, 1 independent tire shop, I got no where. The wheels and we’re off that truck 25 times in a year with only 8000 miles, tires balanced 7 times, one dealer even tried saying that was normal Finally ram sent a specialist out to the dealer, after three days many new parts, I could still feel the vibration. I told the dealer that day this is enough, it’s not fixed and you will be hearing from a lawyer Now I finally got their attention!!! Ram said to give them a week, at the end of the week they called and said they will buy it back with a 100% refund and they did. To this day I still believe it was the wheels, not the tires! But dealer said they swapped the wheels and tires with no fix! I still believe no one had or has a clue as to what caused my issues. The specialist from ram did admit that there was something wrong, just didn’t know what? This was after ram cares and dealers told me there was nothing wrong, it’s drives as it should just drive it. Tires would not hold balance over a few hundred miles! GOOD LUCK

You have way more patience than I do. I'm going to give this about 1 more month and then trade it in. If I have to eat a few grand, so be it. I spend enough time in my car that I can't have it this way. I'll just never buy another FCA vehicle as long as I live if that's what I end up doing. I like having a truck for the utility, but I can get a lexus and a trailer just as easily.

How come you never bought an aftermarket set of wheels to try out for your truck?

I spend enough time in my car that I can't have it this way. I'll just never buy another FCA vehicle as long as I live if that's what I end up doing. I buy a new truck with the thought that I don’t have to dump money into it for at least 3 years as I don’t drive much! Also when anyone spends as much as we do on these overpriced trucks they should perform like a new truck for at least a few years! These big company’s produce/have these parts made for them, they need to all be held accountable, that everyone of these new parts work the way the should. If not, they need to be fixed or replaced! Don't trade it, keep taking it back and if they cant fix it have them replace it.

I hope someone on here has had this same problem as me and can help me out. I have a 2022 Limited 1500 that I bought new 7/22. For the first 4000 miles it was perfect. Then it started having the problem where it shakes at all speeds, slow or fast. It’s not teeth rattling, but it’s definitely noticeable. If I drive down my street (which is smoothly paved) it feels like I’m driving on a dirt road even as slow as 5mph. I took it to a tire shop and had the tires rotated and balanced, and that did not help at all. Then I took it to a dealership in town (Houston) and they checked the suspension and told me it was working normally. Then I took it to the dealership I bought it from a few hours away and they told me they think I’m feeling the MDS kicking in, and the truck is normal. The problem I'm having, though, is that it didn't used to drive like this. It used to be smooth as silk, and now it's not, so I don't think it's normal. Also, I took a friend out in it and he agreed there's something wrong. I put it up on jack stands at all 4 corners today and ran it in both 4wd and 2wd and I couldn’t get it to shake when it’s not on the ground. I pulled the fuse for the ABS and traction control and drove it around and it still shakes at low speed. Anyone have any ideas? And anyone know how would I get in contact with the regional service manager to discuss this?

Yeah I had discount balance them and rotate but it didn’t fix the issue I’m gonna take it back this weekend it feels like driving down a dirt road on any road

Regeared a Jeep and when I got it back had a vibration. Told the shop guy, who had a really good rep, that something was off on the setup and he told me impossible. He went through a bunch of stuff checking, then built me a custom driveline for 5 or $600. Still no good. I told him maybe one of his guys set the gears wrong. He was adamant they prepped the vehicles and only he touched the gears and his gears were bulletproof. Finally we put it on a lift, started the wheels turning and saw the obvious bent rear yoke. Later I examined the old driveline and saw where they had beat the crap out of it to separate it from the yoke. The shop replaced the yoke and I had a new driveline that I paid for. Shaking will drive you banannas trying to figure it out. I was almost to the point of just getting rid of it. My suggestion, mount some go pros under the vehicle or put it on a lift and run it. It may just stand out like a sore thumb. And obviously swap out the wheels/tires with someone.

The CEL came on last night, so it looks like it's going back to another dealer.

It seems like this problem on my truck comes and goes somewhat. There are times that I'm driving it and there's obviously a major problem, and at other times it seems ok. Yesterday, I went over a set of train tracks that are in bad shape, and afterwards the truck seemed normal for a while. I wonder if there's something in the suspension that could be sticking? I'm going to test it like this a few times to make sure it's not coincidence...

I have 2017 Longhorn. And recently I have the same issue . It shakes. At any speed . Since April trying to figure it out. U joints , shocks ,struts changed , brand new tires, still the same.
Have you figured it out yet ?

My wifes 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee started doing the same thing as well. I thought it was tires so had those replaced and still does the same. Dealer says its the tires. Discount has balanced them twice already but still does the same. Very odd stuff.

A simple spin balance won't always find a vibration caused by a slipped belt or other damage to the tire itself. A road force balance would
