Driving into work tonight on sprainbrook parkway saw this scary sight! Not sure what happened but I’m gonna keep my eyes on the local news and see if I can find out. I’m assuming everybody was alright since the state trooper was just sitting in his car

Man, he’s out that truck now- that sucks. He’s really going to get RAMmed on the price of a new one.

Just picked mine up Tuesday. I can deal with a glitching 12”, but this fire issue is the one thing that keeps me up at night.

That is NOT what is keeping you up at night. You are trying to figure out how to put a hammock in the back seat so you can sleep in it :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

AFAIK, there are two known "fire" issue related recalls on the HD's.

The 19 68RFE valve body recall and the 21(?) grid heater relay recall. Recall numbers escape me ATM but both are detailed on the HDRams site.

Potential aside, I keep several fire extinguishers in the cab and toolbox and RV for easy access. May help, may not, but at least one can try.

P.S. Beautiful dooley.

Personally, if I had a fire, I would rather a total loss and a new truck over a repair job. That being said....I would be out of a truck for many months with how long most orders take

That makes me think since I'm considering paying off my Ram. If someone had a bunch of equity or the truck was paid off, they would be in a position where they would take a greater loss. With GAP coverage, it kind of seems worth it topay off as little as possible. It sucks seeing a payment that's more than my first 3 apartments though.

The cops sitting in his cruiser because there's absolutely nothing he can do by himself with a fully engulfed fire. At best he has a tiny fire extinguisher. Paranoia runs deep with some you. This is literally the first I've seen or heard of a Ram on fire. Who knows what happened. Anything is possible. Maybe the owner decided to do his own work and screwed something up. I've seen rodents eat wire harnesses in customers vehicle's that caused fires. It could very well be a "Ram" defect but I'll wait to hear about it before I get paranoid about it
