RAM CAI options

That looks awesome, id like to do the same to free up the extra battery space. Do you think it would perform well in dusty oilfield road conditions?
It comes with a dry, washable filter washable so I don't think you will have any issues as long as you maintain the filter.

No, standard hood.
These are what my marks look like, notice te driver side's line is faint, and it goes over an recessed area in the hood.
Does the standard hood look like this on the inside?
I wish I could find a bigger\taller seal to use since this one just sits on it, I think it's just a door seal or something.

Also the flap I am talking about it's hard for me to get a good picture and the horns are blocking it lol.

This is how it sits normally

This is if I push the plastic back (yes I know it's 90 degrees and not a scoop at that point)

I doubt there that much air pressure to push the flap that far. Especially with the hood closed. I can move mine pretty easily with the hood open, only because there isn't any pressure on it. I also trimmed my factory shroud and tweaked it up some so I could keep it on PXL_20231105_222617500.MP.jpgPXL_20231105_222701904.jpg

As for marks on hood, mine is similar, but seems I have more wear on the front edge than you.

My scoop comes way forward, I think air might even be pushing it forward and blocking it due to the design with the AGS forcing air to come up from under the scoop at speed.
It's a pretty poor fit, but for the price it is about right.
I was wonder how much better the fit is on an Mopar intake thus why I wanted to see the pics because I can't find any online still.

Looked at mine last night because I noticed the screws for that piece were loose so had to take off radiator cover to access them. Used loctite this time. There isn't a way for air to push it forward and seal it off from the front. It will hit the horns well before that. I didn't take any pictures while I had radiator cover off.

Looking at a couple install videos for the Mopar RamAir, it doesn't have a scoop, or flap, that hangs down in front of radiator to direct flow, like the Vararam does. Not sure how much that really effects performance either way

I went with the OEM intake and used the space for an air compressor.
